KY Law states that an agents name in advertising can not be more prominent than the broker’s (eXp Realty).This is meant to be vague, but your KY Broker Team has reached out to try to get clarification to help guide all of our eXp Kentucky agents to be sure they are compliant and limit the chance of you receiving fines/consequences for violations.

As a result, here is our recommendation:

1. Have the agent’s name the same or smaller size as eXp (REQUIRED)
2. Team Names can NOT have the terms ‘Realty’ or ‘Real Estate’. The terms ‘Team’ or ‘Group’ are allowed & your team name needs to be registered with the KREC.
3. Have the agent’s name & eXp be the same font & color in regards to the text so the agent’s name is NOT more prominent (FYI…Roboto is the brand approved font)
4. AND, have the agent’s name & eXp have the background color so the agent’s name is NOT more prominent.

There are signs approved where the agent’s name is a different color than eXp with the same background color. However, that does open up interpretation as to what it more prominent which is why we don’t recommend it.
